A reconstructed brief crafted from a discarded button-down shirt. Original shirting details—subtle buttonhole traces are retained, giving the piece a quiet connection to its past form.

The fabric is hand-dyed, producing a soft, uneven tone that reveals the natural variations within the original material. Panelled construction enhances this effect, allowing shifts in texture and shade to emerge across the surface.

Hand-embroidered appliqué made from offcut remnants is layered across the brief, forming abstract, wilted floral motifs. Each element is individually cut, treated, and stitched, adding depth and a tactile, dimensional quality.

Fully upcycled and hand-finished, the piece balances precision with irregularity—where utility meets ornament.
