Made entirely from discarded second hand shirts this dress from our “wrapper studies” collection takes cues from the wrapper and puff sleeved blouses style known to the Igbo culture of Nigeria featuring a sultry fitting top part with a wide neckline, elongated sleeves with a slight puff and an abdomen peekaboo as well as a detachable bottom wrap extension all carrying panelings reflecting characteristic handyed reactions as a result of varying fabric compositions from the pre-existing garments with relics of shirting details from the pre-existing garments repurposed in interesting contexts. A versatile piece that can be dressed up or just topped.
